We Girls Can Do Anything!

sticky - this will remain on top until December 9th
I have picked a day between November 18th and December 9th. The day that I have picked I will have random.org pick a number out of the comments left and that person will win the blog candy I am giving away to celebrate reaching 20,000 hits. The thing you don't know is which day between now and then that I've picked, so it's best to come by every day and leave a comment. (if you are joining in late you need to go back to November 18th to start leaving comments)
If you have a blog let your readers know about my blog candy too! Wanna see what the blog candy is?

I've already added more to this than shows in the picture!

Before I get to today's card I want to put in a plug here for a friend. I think I'd probably plug this even if she wasn't a friend. I've mentioned that I belong to a couple of rubberstamping lists, and this friend is one I met on one of those lists. A few years ago she was dealing with her elderly father in law's declining health and she would talk to the list about it. She has such a wonderful way with words, and her stories were happy, funny, sad, and thought provoking. We all told her several times that she should write a book. Well, she did! Her book is called Out Of The Wreckage "The Pop Stories" and is available at LuLu
I finished the book myself just a few days ago, and it's wonderful. A very heartwarming book. I know that there are a lot of you who have elderly parents or you will have one day, and I think this book has a lot of insight for you. Okay, now on with the reason most of you are here!

Remember the old Barbie doll commercials where they sang "We girls can do anything, right Barbie?"? That's what I was thinking when I made this. It features another image my daughter drew. Thank you so much for all the compliments you have made regarding her drawings. It's much appreciated! I can think of so many things to do with this particular image! And what a blast it is to color!

It's colored with copic markers and the verse is printed on the computer with a font called Enviro D. I made key words a little larger and then highlighted them as well with different colored markers. I used a cuttlebug embossing folder on the card.
So, do you like it? You wanna win it? Well today is card give away day, so just leave a comment on this post by noon tomorrow and I'll have random.org pick a number to choose a winner!
Thanks for looking!

You do such an excellent job at coloring - even her face!

Cute saying. Do you have all these special fonts installed on your computer, or do you use a CD that contains fonts?

I am sure I missed out on winning this card. But is there a way of paying for a image like this??

Is the sentiment one of her's or is it from a stamp or something?

Your daughter does amazing work! I been following and was glad when she got picked up by MFT!
