Last giveaway in 2008!

Today is Card Giveaway Day, and it's the last one for this year! If you leave a comment on today's post by noon tomorrow you will be in the running to receive today's card along with an envelope so you can send it to someone if you choose.

I loved this image Chesney drew for squigglefly, but I had a hard time thinking of a greeting to go with it. Then I was helping a friend who said she was making a card for a family who had a son or daughter going away to Korea and I thought this would be a good card to let someone know you missed them because the little girl looks sort of lonely or bored. One thing I really like about this is that it's a long image. There aren't a lot of those around, and they make for a change up from the regular A2 size cards.

I colored the image with copic markers and again chalked the background. I know you probably get tired of hearing that, but there it is anyway. :)
If you'd like to win this card, just comment on this post by noon tomorrow and I'll have pick a number. I'll be back with the winner tomorrow!

Back before Christmas I was given this award from Heather.

The rules for this award:

1. The winner can put the logo on his/her blog.
2. Link the person you received your award from.
3. Nominate at least 7 other blogs.
4. Put links of those blogs on yours.
5. Leave a message on the blogs of the people you've nominated.

Rule #3 is one reason it's taken me so long to post about this because it's taken me a while to visit some new (to me) blogs and nominate them. Without further ado, please pay a visit to the following blogs and maybe you will be as inspired by them as I am.

1. Linanna Designs
2. Ink N Rubba
3. Chrissie's Creations
4. Craftroom Creations
5. Lazy Dog Blog
6. The Domestic Briefcase
7. Ali's Stamping Heaven

Also, as long as you're visiting blogs you may want to go by Emma's because she's got an awesome blog candy give away going on right now!

Any big plans to see the New Year tonight? We are going to pop some popcorn and watch a couple of movies but we won't be going out. Hopefully I can stay up to welcome in 2009! Whatever you do, please be safe and have fun! Thanks for looking!

Hi Holly...happy New Year's Eve...

This is just the cutest card..I went to see Marley and Me last night and this little guy kind of reminds me of that dog except Marley wouldn't have sat still long enough to play a game of checkers...He would have EATEN those checkers LOL

Love the card. I have enjoyed your blog these past 6 months and look forward to an entire year of great things in 2009 :~)

Love this card and it would be perfect for me to send to my BFF who I have not seen since Sep. She and I have been best friends since we were both 9 years old. It just dawned on me that we have known each other for 50 years! Wow!

I really love the way you colored the dog. It gives him a lot of personality that way.
