Birthday Boy & Wednesday Card Giveaway

Well, today is the first card giveaway of 2009! Just leave a comment on this post by noon tomorrow and I'll have random.org pick a number. The person will receive this card along with an envelope so it can be sent to whomever they wish. If you win this card and would like to make it a little more personal, I can change the greeting from the round "happy birthday" to the words of your choice. Maybe you'd like it to say something like "Guess who's turning 3?"

Doesn't this guy look like he knows how to enjoy a cupcake? This image is available from squigglefly. I really had fun coloring him. I like that he is cute, but not really cartoony. I colored with copic markers and added a little bit of chalk to the table and behind him.

Thanks for the comments yesterday on the tutorial. Pam, I think that Maryann (the copic certification lady) is in the Kansas City area a lot and that's not too far from the Little Rock area, so maybe she would travel here. I might shoot her an e mail and ask!

I'm running late today, and I've got to scoot! Don't forget to comment if you'd like this card! Thanks for looking!

I think it would be so awesome if Maryanne would come to L.R. I signed up for her copic newsletter and put in the little box there I was interested in her class so maybe if several of us did that she would come here. I'm excited about that Holly, Thanks!

Love the card and also that it is more real life, like you said. It kind of reminds me of my littlest grandson...he will be 4 next month. The only thing missing would be some HORNS sticking out from the corners of his head!! LOL They are a mess, but I do love them :~)

Have a great day....

This card really makes me smile happily, because my son, who ist 26 now, looked really the same when he was a little boy, his hair was and is actually more red than blond. And of course his face looked exactly like this when he had chocolate or chocolate cake, and his eyes were shining and happy, just like this little boy`s eyes on the card. :-)))
Of course I would love to be in your drawing.
Hugs, Renate

LOL! This is so adorable, especially since it looks just like my 4 yr old DGS! I have pics of him doing this very thing! But trust me ladies...it's not just for the young ones! My 17 and 20 yr olds have made it a tradition to push the b'day girl/boy's face into the cake! They never grow up!

This is such a great image...very unique and lots of fun to play with! That's why I LOVE Squigglefly... their images are so off the chart when it comes to creativity!

Hugs~

This little guy could be 3 - or he could be 8 like my grandson, right? LOL I do like that this image is not too 'cartooney' (sp?). Great image and, of course, I love how you once again brought a stamped image "to life", Holly.
