It Don't Mean A Thing If It Ain't Got That Swing

Hi everyone! Today is card give away day! If you would like to have a chance to win today's card (along with a matching envelope so you can send it to someone), just leave a comment and random.org will pick a winner for me tomorrow!

The card I have uses Squigglefly's image Spring Swing.

I colored the image with these copic markers

I chalked the sky and the grass and then I used my trusty Art Impressions grass sprigs stamp over the chalked ground and I used one of the little stamps from Stampin Up's watercolor minis set to over stamp the tree. I think both of those stamps give so much more dimension to the coloring.

I computer generated the words and just free hand cut it out in a cloud shape and then sponged some green around the edges. I think it turned out pretty darned cute, but it's easy to do that because the image is cute all by itself!

Squigglefly has gotten so many new images in! They've added a new artist too! New Christmas and Halloween images are up for those of you wanting to start on your holiday cards early. There's one called Waiting For Santa
that could actually be three different images if you cut part of it out. If you just print the part of the child asleep in the chair no one would even know it was originally a Christmas image. I hope you take some time to drop by and see what's new there!

We got some rain yesterday and it was nice to have the clouds blocking out the relentless heat of the sun for a while! Today looks to be a steamy one though. I hope you all have a fantastic day and better weather! Thanks for looking, and don't forget to comment!

I would send this card to my sis. We had a tire swing as kids - and she fell off and had a bad gash on her head. All I remember is seeing photos of her wearing a homemade white bandage (clean rag, I think) wrapped all around the top of her head ... with her cute little face showing. Awwww.....

This brings back childhood memories for me of summers spent with nothing to do but swing. Thanks for sharing it with us- supr as usual!
