From My Two Lips

Well good morning and happy Friday! I have a cute little Easter card to show you today. It uses one of the images that Crissy Armstrong has drawn for Squigglefly called Bunny With Tulip. Usually Crissy gives her little characters names, and I think this little guy is too adorable not to be named, so I thought it would be fun to have a little "Name The Bunny" contest. Just leave me your suggestion for a name, and I'll have a couple of my non-stamping, non-blogging, and totally un-biased friends choose the name they like best. Now a contest isn't any fun without a prize, so the winner will win something fun from me - I just haven't bought it yet so I can't tell you what it is! I'll announce the winner on Monday.

Isn't he cute? I think this image could be used for Mother's Day or a birthday too - not just Easter. I colored him with these Copic markers

and I used a yellow Spica marker to add more twinkle to the tulip. After I colored the bunny I used some blender fluid on a paper towel and dabbed it over the fur so make it look a little more fur like.

The sky and grass were chalked and then I stamped some grass sprigs over the ground. The scalloped edge on the side of the image panel is from a border punch by EK Success and I put a little dot of yellow stickles in the center of each scallop.

The border punch at the bottom is from Martha Stewart and the designer paper is from Stampin Up. I added a little punched flower with a dot of stickles in the center and the "Happy Easter" sentiment is from a clearly Stampendous set.

Tomorrow is another special "mini" release from Squigglefly! They have a new artist joining them; Diane Carubia and tomorrow's release will feature her images. You may have already seen a few sneak peeks from the Design Team! Tomorrow is also Digi Day at the Squigglefly group on Card Universe at 7 pm central. I'm not sure what we'll have going on, but I do know that there will be laughter and a prize or two, so I hope you will join me there!

UPDATE - I have now purchased the prize for this contest and as an added bonus Crissy Armstrong has agreed to pick the winning name AND give the winner the Bunny With Tulip image free. If you already have that image, you can pick another of Crissy's wonderful images. Here's a picture of the goodies I picked up for the winner

Enjoy your Friday, and thanks for looking!

I love this little bunny! He is so cute-the first name that came to me was Harry? Don't know why?!!! You could add a little bow and make a girl and call her suzie?

Holly your card is so cute, and I love that image! Love your soft colors...you mentioned using a blending fluid on the card...could you tell us what you use? I have not been exposed to blending fluids with copics and would love to know that technique. The face on that little guy is so sweet...reminds me of a little baby...how about Sweet Little Hopper? I know...silly but was all i could think of right now. Have a great day Holly!

HUGS,
Vicki

How about Buddy?

I think Tulip is such a cute name!!! or Flower. If he is called Flower, altering the flower on him would be good, we could stick over a 3d flower or something and his name would still fit! Flower can be a male name for special bunnies!
He is cute :) Your card is lovely!

Hi Holly,

What a sweet bunny and a very nice card!!! The name that came into my mind was "Pebbles" because my guinea pig was called like that and she is not with me anymore, but the name is very cute!

Gorgeous cute bunny. Love your colouring. I have two suggestions. The first name I thought of was Elvin and then I thought Blossom - that way he can be holding any type of bloom!!
I think I'd go with Elvin if I had to choose one though.

Well, many names came to mind, until I thought - it's a girl and I love Molly for animal names - but then I thought of a cartoon that I loved as a little kid and one of the names on there was the one I pick. The name should be "PRECIOUS".

Well, my first choice was to name him Holland, but II see that was already suggested so my next idea for a name would be "puckers" it's a pun on the tulip/two lips ;)
