It's A Piece of Cake

Hi everyone! Man what a slow day in blog land yesterday! Hardly any of you came by to see me and I got my blog visiting done pretty quickly. What are you all up to?

I have a birthday card to show you today. This one uses an image from Squigglefly called Piece of Cake drawn by Angie Davis.

I colored the cake slice with copic markers and used some puff paint for the icing and sprinkled on some glitter while it was still wet. The designer paper was embossed with the Happy Birthday embossing folder from Provo Craft.

The image was die cut with a labels nestablities and then sponged on the edges with some yellow chalk. I used a bit of twill tape and a flower shaped button I got from Jane Beljo. The border on the side is punched with a scalloped border from EK Success. doesn't the cake look yummy? I could eat a slice right now!

Tomorrow is card give away day, so come back to see what I make for you! Have a fantastic day, and thanks for looking!

Hello Holly, I'm here (waiving madly)! Love the card as always, how was your Copic week-end? I suppose I better check out yesterday's post to see if you mentioned it there - oops. I've been doing a bit of art instead of cards but it seems slow all the time of late. See ya, my watercolour is dry so I can paint some more.

I love this card, it is just so festive and dang if I don't want to stick my finger in that icing!!I really love how this came out.
I was watching the video again of Riley and I just keep cracking up. I can't beleive how she pushes that ball around with her head and at such high speeds! She could give some of the soccer players a run for their money. She is so fast and doesn't lose track of that ball, its like its glued to her head! Too, too funny!

What a fantastic card. I love the cake and the paper too - the paper reminds me a bit of Neopolitan ice cream.
