Hi everyone! Thanks for the well wishes for Riley. It turns out she has conjunctivitis or pink eye, so it's nothing too serious. We have to put drops in her eye three times a day. I'm very thankful it's not something to worry about, I've done enough of that with her lately!
The Squigglefly challenge this week is to make a get well card, and I chose to use this adorable image that Jackie Mathews drew called Ready For Rain which features the darling little Katie Bug.

Really this image could be used for any kind of card, but I think it works well for a get well too. I colored it with Copic markers and chose to make her colors match the designer paper I used. Here are the Copic colors I used
The sentiment stamp is from a clear Studio G stamp set. After I colored this I used a Quickie Glue pen to cover the wings and then I sprinkled on some glitter. I also applied glue to the flower's center and then cut some orange flock from a pom pom. I love using pom poms for flock because it's fluffier than the flock you buy in jars.
The border punched at the top of the designer paper is a punch from Martha Stewart. I didn't notice until I uploaded the photo that my card stock was bent in a couple of spots at the top!
Now for my giveaway - as I mentioned the other day (well actually I did more than mention it - I think I screamed it!) Squigglefly was the focus in a three page article on digital stamping in the July issue of Scrap and Stamp Arts magazine. The editor of the magazine was kind enough to send me three complimentary copies. I've given a couple away and kept the one I get with my subscription, so I have one more to give away and I thought I'd offer it as blog candy.
So, if you'd like to win this copy of the magazine, just leave a comment and I'll have random.org pick a winner on Friday. I'd love it if you'd mention the give away on your blog but it's not required.
There's a chance of rain here today, and really every day the rest of this week. I certainly hope it happens because it's been so stinkin' hot the past few days and I think a few rain clouds would be better than that relentless sun beating down. I hope you have a great day no matter the weather, and thanks as always for stopping by!
