Blue Chick on a Choo Choo

Hi everyone. I hope you had a great weekend. Mine was a good one. I got a lot of things accomplished. My house got cleaned on Saturday and we got our grocery shopping done which allowed me time to cook a few things ahead yesterday for the week. I also made a few cards and found out on Saturday that a couple of my cards were published in Volume 18 of Just Cards magazine!

Before I show you one of the cards I made over the weekend, let me show you a card I made last week that I neglected to share. I did this for last week's featured stamper challenge on Splitcoast stampers. The card I picked from the gallery can be seen Here

Here is the card I made

The image is from Michelle Bertuzzi's Choo Choo set and I printed an extra train car to make it a little longer. It's colored with Copic markers and is printed on a shimmery white card stock - can you see the sparkle? I think this image is perfect for small boys. The trim at the top is a crocheted chain.

I also played along with this week's featured stamper challenge

This is the card I CASED from LeAnne's gallery, and here is the card I made

It was a very quick card to make! I used the Kuruku Birdy image from Squigglefly and just cut it out leaving off the legs. Then I drew extra long legs on the bird with a brown sharpie marker.

The bird is colored with Copic markers and the sentiment is printed out on my computer in a font called Cricket. I used a little bit of blue Copic to go over the letters.

If you tried to get to Squigglefly over the weekend to see the new release and had trouble with the site, please go back and take a look again. They have been experiencing trouble over the past few weeks and finally took action and moved to a dedicated server, so hopefully the e mail troubles and problems with the site loading slowly have been fixed.

Today is officially my two year blog-aversary! I will be posting my celebration prize give away later in the week, so stay tuned for that!

I hope you all have a really great start to your week, and thanks for looking!
