I used the hot air balloon that is just one of eight images in the set Up, Up And Away by Michelle Bertuzzi. I cut the basket and balloon apart so I could add some cording for the ropes and pop them up on the card for dimension.
The image was printed on some white shimmer card stock and colored with Copic markers. I printed the sentiment out on my computer and then cut some cloud shapes out. The clouds were outlined with a Quickie glue pen and then dusted with glitter.
It was very quick, but I think it has just the right amount of sparkle and texture to make it a fun birthday card. I'm entering this card in the For Fun Challenge where they are challenging you to make a birthday card!
Speaking of challenges, you really should go make a card for the Squigglefly challenge. Not many people have entered it so you have a good chance of winning the prize! It's an easy one this week too; just make a card that has food or drink on it. You have to use a Squigglefly image to be eligible for the prize though.

I think I really should go make a card for the SF challenge--I just know I have an image from SF I could use for it--so off to get Emily's nails painted-and make a quick lunch--then Hope to get some more crafty time!

WOW...THIS IS SOOO AWESOME! Love how the shimmer paper and copics add just the perfect sparkle to this fabulous image! You ROCKED this one with all the 3-D going on...the clouds are fantastic! :) LOVE IT!
