I did this for the Friday Sketchers Challenge. This image is one called Christmas Beagle from Squigglefly. It's another fabulous one from Marla Shega, and I think the dog is just so cute. It was a lot of fun to color too.
I colored with Copic markers and then used some glitter on the trim of his Santa hat and some ruby red glitter on the holly berries on the package. The paper is some Brenda Walton designer paper from K and Company.
I like the simple sketch because it allows you to use a larger image and I like using larger images on my Christmas cards for some reason.
We did get a little bit of rain yesterday, but not much. It was really more of a tease than anything else. But it was cooler this morning and I don't think it's supposed to get above 90 degrees for the next week! Yippee!
Have you been to Squigglefly to see the wonderful new images that were released? There are some great new ones, so be sure to go take a look!
I am going to try to get my menu planning done, grocery shop, and clean a little around the house today, but all of that happens after Riley and go for our walk. I hope you have a wonderful Saturday and get to spend some of it doing something you love to do. Thanks for looking!

Your card is adorable Holly ! Love the papers coordinated to the colours of the little parcel. I adore the sweet image... and the glitter on the Santa hat too ! Lots of hugs and love from Catherine
beautiful Holly and you captured the Beagle's coloring perfectly. Love the pun too!
Oh Holly, you captured this little guy so perfectly...your coloring is just so on that it looks like a real dog! This card makes it feel much cooler outside, LOL....actually, when I went to bed last night it was so muggy that the hood of my car was all wet like it had just rained (but it hadn't)...this morning?? GLORIOUS!!!!! It is so cool and the sun is shining but the best part is my windows are open now and it puts a pep in my step!
Hope your Saturday is just as grand...
Ya know, there is so much detail in that image and with the way you colored it, it almost looks like a photo! Marla's drawings are just sooo realistic and those eyes get me every time! :) You did such an incredible job with this, Holly! The glitter is awesome and ohhh these DPs...GORGEOUS! I love the sketch too...the larger images really help me color within the lines...and the good Lord knows I need all the help I can get! LOL
I've already been to Squigglefly this morning, and it's no surprise they've done it again! It's a good thing the 1st is right around the corner! teehee :)
