Cards and Candy!

Good morning and happy Monday to everyone! Did you get some good crafting time in this weekend? I certainly did! I have another Hope You Can Cling TO challenge card, a featured stamper challenge card and BLOG CANDY to share with you today. First up is the featured stamper card. The featured stamper this week has a lot of clean and simple cards in her gallery. The card I CASED can be seen HERE, and here is my card

I used the butterfly from Nina Brackett's Fancy Flowers set and colored it with some blue green Copic markers. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up! and is stamped on some designer paper that has a black border punched with a Fiskars border punch. Simple and quick!

My next card is for the 10th Hope You Can Cling To challenge. The theme of the challenge is Walk On By. You are supposed to create a card inspired by some place you like to walk.

Well we walk in the park a lot and there are paved trails that wind around soccer fields. There is always a soccer game going on or a field full of kids practicing soccer. My favorite thing is to see the little kids just learning the game. Anyway, here is my card for this challenge

I used the boy from Mark Hick's Soccer Kids set and colored with Copic markers. Here are the colors I used to color with

The sky is chalked and the sentiment is computer generated. I printed the image twice and cut the soccer ball out so that it could pop up on the outside of the oval window. Two opposite corners are rounded and I accented the top corner with some piercing. Here's a view of the inside

Did you know that Squigglefly is one of the prize sponsors for the Hope You Can Cling To challenges? Well, they are! And Jennifer has decided to have the Squigglefly group on Papercraft Planet join in the Something Old, Something New challenge that they had the other day. Hop over there and join in that challenge!

Now for the candy! I told you I'd have a blog candy give away when I reached 300 followers and I'm now over that so here's the candy give away I have

there's a lot of stuff here - a Stampin' Up! stamp set (slightly used), some 6x6 papers, some shimmer mist, some ribbon, some snowflake embellishments, some unmounted rubber stamps, some flower stickers, a provo craft die, decorative brads, assortment of embellishments including some of my hand crocheted snow flakes, and a set of blo pens (great for adding speckles to your background!), and a quickie glue pen.

To win this candy, just leave me a comment when I post something. I have a day picked out between now and the end of the month. On that day I will have random. org pick a winner from the comments left on that day. You won't know which day is picked, so your best chance is to comment every day! I will announce the winner of the candy on November 1st!

Now I'm off to see what the challenge is on Squigglefly's blog and I hope you will check it out too and play along! Spread the word about my blog candy! Have a super day, and thanks for looking!

I like how you cut the oval out of the front of your second card to show the little cutie on the inside...Easy things to do to make the card more unique but I never think about doing them!! Thanks for reminding me :) Great job!

I love your butterfly card it is so elegant and yet a quicker type card. You have helped me a lot as you give the Copic colors that you use as I really liked your little guy card and the shades of green you have used.

Thanks for sharing with us.

Beautiful cards Holly! Ok I read every blog post of yours but I rarely take the time to comment on all your beautiful work and I apologize for that. I'm gonna try my best to comment the rest of the month because I would love to use one of your handmade snowflakes on one of my creations!

Hello Holly! Thanks for the chance to win! I love both of these cards, but I really love the first one. :)

This way of picking a winner is much better than the follower type - and I'm glad I don't have to mess around with images on my sidebar (my blog life became so much less stressful once I stopped doing that!)
