I'm All Googley Eyed

(this will remain on top until the give away - please scroll down for the current post)

I've got blog candy!

there's a lot of stuff here - a Stampin' Up! stamp set (slightly used), some 6x6 papers, some shimmer mist, some ribbon, some snowflake embellishments, some unmounted rubber stamps, some flower stickers, a provo craft die, decorative brads, assortment of embellishments including some of my hand crocheted snow flakes, and a set of blo pens (great for adding speckles to your background!), and a quickie glue pen. Right now I am at 310 followers. For every 3 more followers I gain until the end of this blog candy I will add another something to the prize package!

To win this candy, just leave me a comment when I post something. I have a day picked out between October 11th and the end of the month. On that day I will have random. org pick a winner from the comments left on that day. You won't know which day is picked, so your best chance is to comment every day! I will announce the winner of the candy on November 1st!
Okay, I've gotten three more followers so these brass charms are now added to the prize package!

If I get three more I'll be adding this

Good morning and Happy Friday everyone! Boy that blog candy is getting bigger and bigger! At the risk of letting you all down I only have one card to post today, but it's a fun one so maybe you'll forgive me!

The Hope You Can Cling To Challenge #14 is to use ribbon on your card. That's pretty easy! I chose to use some bird lash yarn as my ribbon - hope that counts!

I used the adorable pair of fish Flipper and Fin drawn by Cheryl Alger for this card. They are colored with Copic markers and have googley eyes added. Notice the one on the left has eyelashes? I was laughing to myself as I made this because it made me remember back to a time when Ashley was little - maybe four or five years old, and she was playing with one of zillion ponies and suddenly said to me "I know how to tell which pony is a boy and which pony is a girl." I said "Oh, yeah? How?" She looked at me all serious and said "The girl ponies have eyelashes!" LOL!

So, I thought it appropriate to put the eyelashed googley eyes on the bigger fish because unfortunately it seems as we age we women spread out and the men just shrink and lose their butts! I also added some little rain dots for fish bubbles. Here's the inside of the card; he wording is all computer generated.

We've had a wildfire here the past week in a military base and the smoke is awful in the evenings and early mornings. Yesterday when Riley and I walked it was hard to breathe, so we are foregoing our walk this morning. The weather people say something called an inversion makes the smoke settle to ground level in the evenings and early mornings and it's expected to be here at least a few more days. I really wish we could get some rain!

I probably won't be around much this weekend because Chesney is getting married on Sunday and tomorrow we are going to the rehearsal. It will be a rushed and busy weekend, but nice because both of my kids will be here for a while! Don't forget to check Squigglefly tonight or in the morning to see what new releases they have! Enjoy your day, and thanks for looking!

I am SO glad to know what that yarn is called! I have bunches and I've always referred to it as that stringy yard! ;) Well whatever you call it, it looks FABULOUS on this card...perfect colors!
