Oh Holy Night and more wedding photos

(this will remain on top until the give away - please scroll down for the current post)

I've got blog candy!

there's a lot of stuff here - a Stampin' Up! stamp set (slightly used), some 6x6 papers, some shimmer mist, some ribbon, some snowflake embellishments, some unmounted rubber stamps, some flower stickers, a provo craft die, decorative brads, assortment of embellishments including some of my hand crocheted snow flakes, and a set of blo pens (great for adding speckles to your background!), and a quickie glue pen. Right now I am at 310 followers. For every 3 more followers I gain until the end of this blog candy I will add another something to the prize package! I have added a package of six brass charms, a package of 12 sugar coating glitter by Doodlebug, a Viva Silver Pearl pen, and two brand new foam mounted Inky Impressions stamps to the prize package so far! When I reach 325 followers I will add this

To win this candy, just leave me a comment when I post something. I have a day picked out between October 11th and the end of the month. On that day I will have random. org pick a winner from the comments left on that day. You won't know which day is picked, so your best chance is to comment every day! I will announce the winner of the candy on November 1st!

Hi everyone! Busy day ahead of me today. I plan on getting my house cleaned up, planning my weekly menu and doing the grocery shopping. It doesn't sound like a lot, but if you saw the state my craft room was in you'd know why the house cleaning part is going to take a while! Plus there's the usual playing with Riley that takes place every day. I also need to get busy on a couple of the Hope You Can Cling To Challenges because I haven't made one for yesterday's challenge yet and there's still todays to do! Plus have you been to Squigglefly today and seen the new release? Wow! There are so many things I can't wait to color and make into a card. What do you think of their new artist? Abz Hakim just made his debut there! I love his style of drawing; it's sort of got a retro look to it. Be sure to go take a look!

Yesterday several of you asked what embossing folder I used on the skating santa card. That is a Sizzix Damask embossing folder. I do have a very unique Christmas card to share with you today. What makes it so unique in my opinion is the beautiful artwork in the image.

This uses Holy Night by Laura Campbell. I love that the corners in this image! I printed it out big so that it would make the whole front of the card. There are so many ways you could color this. Printing it out on some gold card stock would be pretty too.

Yesterday I had some free time at work so I cut up some strips of paper and googled free snowflake quilling patterns and decided to try quilling. I've never done it before, and I have none of the special tools, but I am pretty psyched about my first snowflake!

I actually made two and I think I'll try some other patterns soon. It was fun and certainly didn't cost much to make.

Now I'm going to share some more wedding photos from last weekend with you. If you aren't into the family sharing thing feel free to skip this part! first are a couple of the bride and groom

and here's one of Brock walking Chesney down the aisle. I love this picture!

and last is a picture of everyone who attended the wedding (I'm the one behind the girl in the pink top)

Well, that's it from me today! I hope you enjoy your Saturday and thanks for looking!

Your Holy Night card is beautiful but the image feels too crowded for my own style. Love your quilled snowflake!

The intricate design of the card is gorgeous. Look like a mosaic from the old world! You are very brave to jump into the quilling. Great idea to play with the snowflakes. The one you shared is so pretty!

WOW!! What a detailed Christmas card!!! It is BEAUTIFUL Holly but I can't imagine mass producing a card like that. I was planning on making my cards this year ( I missed last year) but I'm not sure I'm gonna make that goal...maybe I'll get a few done...

I am in the wedding picture frame of mind and your daughter made a beautiful bride, I know you're very proud. When I saw the one of Brock walking her down the aisle, I hadn't read your comment yet about it being your favorite picture..I saw it, smiled and said AWwwwww....then I saw your comment. It is a very special picture. Thanks for sharing them with us..

Have a fun day getting caught up with things. I'm off to babysit Hannah...her mom has been invited to Gerber Day in Ft. Smith so I get to play today...tomorrow??? 5.5 acre corn maze in Cave Springs with the other 5 grandkids.....and I'm retired??? LOL

This was a fairy tale wedding and I know every person there was enchanted with the charm and beauty around them. The Christmas card is absolutely stunning. What patience you have to do the snowflakes in quilling. It must take a lot of patience doing such intricate work.
Enjoyed the lovely wedding photos also.

I love the wedding photos--what gorgeous pics! Secondly--I am so jealous of your quilling! I do not think I have the patience for that at all!! Thirdly--what a gorgeous card--I had to leave and run to SF and purchase that image--and come back to read the rest of the post!
