Two Challenges and a CASE

(this will remain on top until the give away - please scroll down for the current post)

I've got blog candy!

there's a lot of stuff here - a Stampin' Up! stamp set (slightly used), some 6x6 papers, some shimmer mist, some ribbon, some snowflake embellishments, some unmounted rubber stamps, some flower stickers, a provo craft die, decorative brads, assortment of embellishments including some of my hand crocheted snow flakes, and a set of blo pens (great for adding speckles to your background!), and a quickie glue pen. Right now I am at 310 followers. For every 3 more followers I gain until the end of this blog candy I will add another something to the prize package!

To win this candy, just leave me a comment when I post something. I have a day picked out between now and the end of the month. On that day I will have random. org pick a winner from the comments left on that day. You won't know which day is picked, so your best chance is to comment every day! I will announce the winner of the candy on November 1st!

Happy Hump Day! Did you see the number of followers went up by one? Two more and I'm going to add this package of brass charms to the blog candy! There's no telling how big the prize package will be by the end of the month if ya'll spread the word!

I've got a few more cards to share with you today. I'm still on a roll here and I hope my mojo sticks around at least until the Hope You Can Cling To challenges are over! The first card I have is for yesterday's challenge Birthdays Are A Piece Of Cake. The challenge is to create a birthday card with paper piecing. Here's the card I came up with

I made a gatefold card and used balloons and two sentiments from the Birthday Set available at Squigglefly. That set has a whopping 13 images in it! My balloons are paper pieced with different designer papers and the "your" in the front sentiment is colored in with Copic markers. I then clipped the corners with some corner scissors and sponged the edges with Only Orange ink. Here's the inside

My next card is one I made for Mothermark's teaparty. This week our cards are going to a little five year old boy named Jacob. Jacob went in to have his tonsils removed and they discovered he has cancer. Poor little guy will be undergoing chemo treatments instead of trick or treating! They say he loves Halloween and scary things so we're all making him Halloween type cards. Here's mine

My image is called Boo Pumpkin and I colored it with Copic markers and used chalk on the moon. I used another cherished piece of my spider web embossed vellum for the background. Also, it's hard to see in the photo, but the card base has little orange speckles all over it. I made those with a blo pen. The same kind of blo pens that I have in my blog candy! As with all of the teaparty cards, we usually try to come up with a side story to go along with Mothermark's story. If you are interested in my story you can view my card in my Splitcoast Stampers gallery HERE

Okay, I have one more card to share with you today and it's not for any challenge at all. I saw this amazing card that Chris Olsen made here and decided to CASE her card with one of my own.

I printed out two leaves from the Smell The Flowers set (another set of 13 images and sentiments!) onto acetate and then glued pieces of hand dyed tissue paper to the back. Isn't the sentiment a pretty one? It's a new one from Jess Holland called Birthday Wishes.

Okay, that's it from me today! Don't work too hard today, and thanks for looking!

Those brass charms are so beautiful, especially the butterflies! If I don't win the candy I'll need to ask you where to find them!

I love the Birthday card! I just might have to CASE that one. But poor little Jacob, my prayers go out to him and his family. I know he will truly enjoy your halloween card. And tissue and acetate really work great together. Love all the cards.

You think up the most fun things! I never would have thought to paper piece the balloons, and it works great. I also don't stamp directly on my designer paper very often, you make it work so well with the birthday wishes.

Thanks for sharing your wonderful creativity.

Dang girl, that gatefold is FABULOUS! Your mojo definitely is in high gear! :) teehee The paper piecing looks fantastic and I love the way you clipped the corners...this would make a great die! The inside looks just as pretty and I love this sentiment...sooo true, BTW! :)
Poor Jacob! Bless his little heart...will put him on my prayer list. This card will bring a smile to his face for sure! What a fun image and its coloring couldn't be better! Every time you use this tissue paper I marvel at its uniqueness! This is just too cool and I LOVE your story too! Spiders give me the jeebies also!
Here you go with more cool tissue paper! It's amazing how it looks behind those leaves! Fabulous DP and I just LOVE the font used on the sentiment! The lace adds the perfect touch to complete the CASE! Absolutely BEAUTIFUL job! :)
