Vintage is Popping Up!

(this will remain on top until the give away - please scroll down for the current post)

I've got blog candy!

there's a lot of stuff here - a Stampin' Up! stamp set (slightly used), some 6x6 papers, some shimmer mist, some ribbon, some snowflake embellishments, some unmounted rubber stamps, some flower stickers, a provo craft die, decorative brads, assortment of embellishments including some of my hand crocheted snow flakes, and a set of blo pens (great for adding speckles to your background!), and a quickie glue pen. Right now I am at 310 followers. For every 3 more followers I gain until the end of this blog candy I will add another something to the prize package! I have added a package of six brass charms and a package of 12 sugar coating glitter by Doodlebug to the prize package so far. When I have 319 followers I will add this Viva Pearl Pen in Silver

To win this candy, just leave me a comment when I post something. I have a day picked out between October 11th and the end of the month. On that day I will have random. org pick a winner from the comments left on that day. You won't know which day is picked, so your best chance is to comment every day! I will announce the winner of the candy on November 1st!

Good morning everyone! I have two more cards for the Hope You Can Cling To challenges to share with you today! The first one was Pop It Out. We had to pop up something on our card. I liked the little birdie card I made for the featured stamper challenge so much that I decided to do another one and pop the birds up!

I went with a pink theme this time. I still eliminated the speech bubble from the Daily Twitter bird and they are colored with Copic markers. The sentiment is another cute birdie one from Jess Holland. She has some great sentiments for birds!

The next challenge was definitely a challenge for me. It was to do a vintage style card. I am not very good at vintage at all. When I think vintage I think of lace and distressing. Other than those two things I'm not so very creative at vintage.

I did choose a great vintage image though. This one is called Vintage Flower Maiden and is drawn by Rich Davis. Rich has some wonderful vintage images at Squigglefly, but this flower maiden is my favorite.

I colored her with Copic markers and then distressed and sponged the edges. I then added a bit of eyelet trimmed ribbon on either side and called her done! So far I am up to snuff on every single Hope You Can Cling To challenge! Now I'm going to try to play along in Kim's challenge on the Squigglefly blog this week. Did you see it? She's supplying the image so there's no reason not to play along!

I hope your day is great and that one absolutely fantastic thing happens to make it better than great! Thanks for looking!
