With Six You Get Egg Roll

Hi everyone! Does anyone remember that movie with Six You Get Egg Roll? I remember watching it as a kid. The movie has absolutely nothing to do with my post today except for the name of the image I used which is called Easter Egg Roll!

Maybe this bunny is the Easter Bunny and he's hiding the eggs, or maybe he's at the White House taking part in the annual Easter Egg Roll! I used Copic markers to color the image and then stamp grass sprigs on the ground.

I gave him a fluffy tail by applying some Quickie glue all over his tail and then sticking a cotton ball to it. After a bit, I pulled the cotton ball away and it left a bit of fluff there!

The sketch was from a Splitcoast Stampers challenge a couple of weeks ago. I added a bit of sparkle to the eggs with glitter and tied a piece of twill into a bow to adorn the top corner. The back piece is an embossing folder that embosses and cuts out different areas that I got from Marianne Designs. Pretty nifty the way they designed those folders to do both!

You've still got a few days left to play along in Squigglefly's challenge - so get busy! I hope you have a wonderful day, and thanks for looking!

Just a cute card

Hi everyone! Happy hump day! I have a cute little card I made last night for a couple of challenges. The first challenge is Squigglefly's make your own patterned paper challenge, and the other is Mothermark's Tea Party challenge where we are to make a girly card with ribbon.

I chose to use the adorable little Doxie Butterfly as my image because everyone knows that dachshunds are a GIRL'S best friend, right? Okay, so maybe I'm cheating on the girl part a little, but it's got a ribbon with a bow and that's girly!

The paper in the background was made with the computer using a font that has dog symbol dingbats and another font for the words. I highlighted some of the words with the same yellow copic marker that I used to color the ribbon so it would match.

I used Copic markers and chalk to color and then stamp some grass sprigs on the ground. I hope you have time for some fun today! Thanks for looking!

Meet Foople

Good morning everyone! I hope your week is off to a good start. I have a card to share with you today that I made for a good friend of mine. She is feeling a little low these days and I thought this would cheer her up. Wouldn't this bring a smile to your face if he showed up in your mailbox?

You may have noticed this big fuzzy fellow named Foople that was released at Squigglefly this weekend. Well, one of my blog readers wrote and said she was making cards for a four year old boy who has cancer and she wanted to use Foople on one of her cards, but she thought it would be nice to include a story with it that his mom could read to him while he looked at the card. I loved this idea! She also wondered if there were other characters Nate has coming later that are connected to Froople.

Well, I passed the note on to Nate Owens, the creator of Foople to find out a bit more about him. I thought you might want to know more about him too!

(click to enlarge and read the story)

You can even get a Foople T-shirt at Nate's Zazzle shop as a gift and make a matching card to go with it! Wouldn't that be fun?!

On my card I colored Foople with Copic markers and chalk. The sentiment is computer generated and I highlighted one of the words with a marker. The lacy oval behind the image was cut with my Cricut. Yay! It didn't tear when I pulled it off my mat!

I embossed the card base with a Sizzix embossing folder and sponged the edges of the card with Lovely Lilac ink.

I still haven't made a card for the Squigglefly blog challenge, but I plan on working on that today! I hope you'll play too! Enjoy your day, and thanks for looking!

Wired On Caffeine

Good morning everyone! ready for another work week? I guess I am. I had a lot of home time this weekend so it's good to get back into the world a bit.

Yesterday I played along in Splitcoast Stamper featured stamper challenge and picked this card to CASE from the gallery.

As soon as i saw her chubby fairy i knew I wanted to use the adorable and funny House Fairy by Suzanne Urban.

Easy and quick card to make! You don't even have to come up with a sentiment because it's built into the image! I colored with Copic markers and chalk.

Today is a brand new challenge on the Squigglefly blog! Chelsea is challenging everyone to make their own patterned paper! I hope you'll play along for a chance to win a free image!

Enjoy your Monday, and thanks for looking!

Double Twisted Easel Card video!

Hi everyone! I talked with Chesney yesterday and she is feeling much better! She's still a little sore, but so much better than she was right after surgery. Isn't it amazing how quickly they get people in and out these days?

Wasn't the release at Squigglefly this week worth the wait? I made another double twisted easel card like the one HERE so that I could make a video for you, and one of the images I used won't be in the store until next weekend, so you are getting a really early sneak peek!

Here's the card I made

I used the Happy Easter Egg Bunny by Paulette Rich Long and the other one that won't be out until next week is also by Paulette called Bunny Juggling. The sentiment on the card comes with the Happy Easter Egg Bunny.

I used Copic markers to color with and added some glitter to one of the images. I also made another carrot with embroidery floss and cardboard, but this time I crocheted the orange embroidery floss before I wrapped the cardboard with it. Here's a couple of close up shots of the each of the images.

and I did make a video showing you how to put one together. I do hope you will give one a try. They are super easy and fun to do! If you can't view the video from my blog, you can view it on YouTube HERE. Today is my day to prepare meals ahead for the week and we are going to get Riley out today too. Yesterday was a rainy day and she didn't get much outdoor time. I hope you have a great day, and thanks for looking!

Today's the day!

Hi everyone! Thank you so much for all your well wishes for Chesney yesterday. The surgery went well, and there is no need for any second surgery which had been a concern. She was in a lot of pain when I saw her yesterday right after surgery, but I guess that's to be expected. Hopefully today she will be feeling much better!

Well today is the day that three new artists make their debut at Squigglefly! Paulette Rich Long, Nate Owens, and Diane Knott all have some wonderful images that are available today along with some fabulous new images from your long loved artists!

My card today uses Butterfly Buddy by Nate Owens. Is this not the cutest little cat? I love the expression on his face!

There's another one that Nate drew called Doxie Butterfly that would go with this one so well to make a cute scene. I colored this with Copic markers and then used chalk on the ground and sky. I then stamped some grass over the ground for some depth.

The edges of the designer paper were sponged with some Glorious Green ink, and the sentiment was computer generated in Kayleigh font (free HERE).

I glued some punched butterflies (from a Martha Stewart border punch) down and added some glitter. The flowers were some I pulled off of an artificial flower sprig and sponged on some green and blue ink. I punched a hole out of some designer paper and glued it to the center of the flowers. The greenery behind the flowers is from a Martha Stewart branch punch. I'm entering this in the Totally Papercrafts Challenge to make something cute and cuddly. I think this little kitty definitely qualifies! More challenges that I've seen I can enter this in are The Crafty pad - use a digi, Flutterby Wednesdays - open theme, and Phindy's place - use an animal.

Here's the inside of the card.

Be sure to visit the design team's blogs today to see what they've done! Then go to Squigglefly and shop! Have a great weekend, and thanks for looking!

TWO MORE SNEAK PEEKS!

Hi everyone and happy Friday! This morning my youngest daughter Chesney will be heading to the hospital to have her gallbladder removed. Poor thing has had terrible stomach pains and went to the doctor the day before yesterday. The doctor sent her to get an ultrasound done yesterday morning and it showed a lot of stones which meant she could have another attack at any time. It's also affecting her liver. so, surgery has been scheduled for 10:30 this morning. This is her first major surgery and she's nervous about it. Please say a little prayer for her that all goes well and that her recovery is quick!

Well, the long awaited release of new images at Squigglefly is tomorrow! I've got TWO cards to share with you today.

This first one uses an older image by Angie Davis called Spring Tree. I can't tell you how much I love this image. It's one of my all time favorites and one I go to again and again.

I paired it with a sentiment (Spring China) that will be available tomorrow. I love this sentiment! It just fits the beginning of Spring perfectly because it really is as if nature sets out her best china during the Spring.

I colored this with copic markers and chalk, and then I went to town with some faux flower soft on the tree. The little circle border on the side of the card is one I did with my new Cricut!

Here's a photo I took of some crab apple trees at the park yesterday - you can see where I get my inspiration!

This next card is a new one from Lynne Stansbery.

Wishing Well comes with the image and the sentiment.

I colored this with Copic markers and used chalk for the sky. The background is a large floral background stamp from Sonlight Rubber Stamps. I got the lace trim from Hobby Lobby the last time I shopped there. I think this would be really cute as a birthday card too if you changed the sentiment to "make a wish".

Be sure to drop by the store tomorrow to see all the new images and welcome Paulette Rich Long, Nate Owens, and Diane Knott to Squigglefly! Have a great day, and thanks for looking!

Sneak Peek!

Hi everyone! Man, I think Spring is over and summer has arrived. It was hot yesterday! Luckily there was a breeze to help keep it from getting too bad, but it wasn't comfortable outdoors. I still hear so many of you who are having snow, and I'm jealous! Get out and build a snowman and make a snow angel for me!

Well, even if the weather isn't spring like for a lot of us, I've got a spring card to share with you and it uses an image that's going to be released in Squigglefly's store this Saturday so you're getting a sneak peek! In fact, I plan to have a different sneak peek the rest of the week for you!

This lovely image is by Lynne Stansbery and is called Black Eyed Susan Spring Ring.

I colored this with Copic markers and then added white dots to the bow and brown puff paint to the center of the flowers. The middle was cut away. The sentiment is computer generated. There are two rows of piecing at the bottom and a strip double stick with lavender glitter rubbed on.

I think this would be really pretty if you colored the flowers like Coneflowers or purple Asters too!

It seems several of you would like a video showing you how to make the double easel card, so I'll try to work on that over the weekend for you. I wish you a wonderful day no matter your weather, and thanks for looking!

Squigglefly news and a Squigglefly challenge!

Hi everyone! I told you a few days ago that there was news about Squigglefly and today I can spill the beans. There are three new artists joining and they'll be making their debut on Saturday! I know you will fall in love with their artwork! The three artists are Paulette Rich Long, Nate Owens, and Diane Knott! If you click on their names you'll be taken to their web site where you can see why we're all excited! The design team is busy working on projects this week to showcase their work, so be sure to stop by their blogs every day to see what will be new in the store on Saturday! Their links on on my right sidebar.

Monday was the new Squigglefly Blog Challenge, and Vicki's challenge is to use buttons on your card. The card I have to share today only has one button on it, but even one button counts!

I needed to make a birthday card for a great friend. She is a stamper and avid cardmaker too, so I like to make cards that are extra special for her. I decided to make her a double easel card using the Ant Birthday image from Squigglefly.

I colored the ants with copic markers and added some glitter to the party hat. the embossed labels were cut with my Cricut! I'm learning how to use it! The sentiment is also from Squigglefly, and it's Birthday Wishes by Jess Holland.

Here are the copic colors I used

Here are closer views of each side

These are really easy to make. Start with an 8" x 8" piece of cardstock and fold in the center. Now cut up the center of one side all the way to the score line. Score a line on each cut square from the corner near the center score line to the opposing corner. Decorate each cut square by adhering patterned paper on the lower triangle only. When decorating the inside of the card, be sure to put something in there to hold the squares up! On my card the ribbon acts as a stopper to keep them standing.
If this is confusing to you, let me know and I'll try to do a video of it for you.

Speaking of videos, I took one the other night of Riley having a dream. The lighting was low so the quality isn't that great, but if I had turned the light up she probably would have woken up. At first our television is blaring, but once Brock saw I was filming he turned it down so you can hear her woofing in her sleep. She even hunts game in her sleep! If you can't see the video on my blog, you can see it on YouTube HERE.

Have a wonderful day, and thanks for looking!

Guilty Dog

Hi everyone. No card to share today, but I'll be back tomorrow with one. In the meantime, I wanted to share this video with you. It's one Ashely sent me yesterday saying it's exactly what one of her dogs does when he's done something wrong. I found it so cute and funny that I thought you'd like it too. If you can't view the video from my blog, you can see it HERE
See you tomorrow!

Hey Peeps!

Hi everyone! If you made any purchases at Squigglefly last week, be sure to have a look HERE to see if you won!

Did you have a great weekend? Mine went by fast as usual, but what a beautiful weekend it was! Did you see the Super Moon on Saturday night? Gorgeous!
It did get rather warm - about 80 degrees both days - but it was cool early in the evening and in the mornings. Bees are everywhere! Riley keeps jumping and snapping at them. She's going to be sorry when she finally gets one!

I did learn a little about how to use the Cricut, and I've played around a bit. So far my biggest problem is that the mat is so sticky the things I cut tear when I pull them off. I can work with the really simple cuts okay, but intricate things are tricky!

I've got an Easter card to share with you today. I made this for the Outlawz challenge on their homepage that is to make any kind of greeting card and it has a great prize, so I'm entering this there too!

the image I used here is one by Cheryl Alger called Easter Chicks. I colored with Copic markers and did a little chalking around the top of the basket with yellow chalk. The chicks are fluffed up with some yellow flock! Aren't they cute all fuzzy?

The sentiment is computer generated. See that label the sentiment is on? I cut that with the Cricut and sponged some Lavender Lace around the edges. The image panel is punched in each corner and then I pierced on the bottom layer to draw attention to them. The little carrot is one I made with some cardboard and embroidery floss. It's popped up on some small pop dots.

Today is a brand new challenge on Squigglefly's blog! Vicki has challenged everyone to push her buttons by using buttons on your project! Swing by and see what awesome creations the design team has done to inspire you! Also, get ready for some super Squigglefly news soon! Enjoy your Monday, and thanks for looking!

Dragonflies Dancing

Hi everyone. I'm really sorry to have just disappeared on you for two days with no explanation. The time change has really had me off schedule and I finally got bitten by the bug - the Cricut bug. I broke down and bought a Cricut the other day. I just couldn't help myself! since they have come out with the new Expression machine, the original Cricuts have been discounted and I bought one for $70.00! so, last night I was playing around with it and learning what all it can do. Hopefully I'll learn it soon and be showing you stuff soon!

Are you feeling lucky? Today's the very last day to take advantage of this special offer from Squigglefly. Check out what I'm talking about HERE! Also, I have a bit of news to share with you. First, the bad news. The bad news is that there isn't going to be any new images released at Squigglefly today. I know - I feel your pain! But there's good news! The reason is because there have been some new artists to join Squigglefly and they've been busy getting things ready for their introduction! So stay tuned for that next weekend!

Now I didn't show up today just to fill your heads with excuses and news! I actually do have a card to share. It's one made a while back that I did for one of the Featured Stamper challenges on Splitcoast Stampers. If you want to see the card I CASED you can see it by clicking HERE.

Here's the card I made

I used the Zen Dragonfly image that Angie Davis drew for Squigglefly. I really love this image and have used it so many times. I used Copic markers to color it and added some brown puff paint to the cat tail for dimension. A bit of glitter using stickles was added to the dragonfly's trail. I pierced holes around the image panel and did some sponging around the edges. Simple and elegant.

I really hope you have a fantastic weekend! Don't forget to check out the supermoon we're having tonight, and thanks for looking!

We Are Family

Hi everyone! I sure had a good time yesterday reading your guesses as to what the kitchen utensil is! The correct answer is an avocado slicer, and Jane from Ladybug Arts is the winner! I never would have guessed what this was since it just doesn't seem like you'd need a special slicer for an avocado! I am also going to send another little prize to Elaine Allen for being the first person to actually comment on my card! LOL! Ya'll got so involved in guessing the utensil that my card was lost in the post! Elaine, I have your address but Jane, if you will write me at usyungs@gmail.com and give me your address I'll mail your prize!

The card I have to share today is another one that I made a while back and just haven't shared. I made this for one of Mothermark's Teapartys and the requirement was that it have an owl on it. I went for a family of owls using Angie Davis's Owl Family image.

There's not really anything special to say about this card; everything is pretty obvious what I did. I do hope you enjoy it though! Hopefully I will have some newer stuff to share with you soon. Have a wonderful day, and thanks for looking!

A challenge for you and for me

Hi everyone! I have had no crafting time over the weekend due to our trip to Memphis, and yesterday after work was catch up day so there was no crafting then either. It's a good thing I saved a card I made for last week's featured stamper challenge at Splitcoast Stampers or I'd have no card to show you today!

The card I CASED can be seen HERE, and here is my version

My image is one by Robin Willis named Tis The Season and I colored with Copic markers. There is puff paint added to the trim and ball on his hat. A very quick card to make!

Now I have a challenge for you! When we were in Memphis Ashley gave me a bag of kitchen utensils that she no longer wanted. I told her I'd take them home and see what I wanted and then see if any of my friends wanted anything before donating them to a church charity we know. Anyway, there was this one thing in there that Brock and I could not figure out what it was used for. I finally did some on line searching and discovered it's use, can you figure it out? First right answer will win a prize from me!

Have fun guessing, and thanks for looking!

Has Spring Sprung For you?

Hi everyone! What a beautiful weekend we had. the weather was gorgeous and it was so nice to spend some time with Ashley. Riley was even on good behavior with her cats and dogs!

I don't know if you saw what Ashley did on Saturday or not, but you really need to go take a look at THIS, and then go to the Squigglefly store and shop! Did you get a look at the new images released this weekend? There are so many I can't wait to color!

There's a new challenge up on the Squigglefly blog today, and we are to make a card that reminds you of Spring! Spring can't be missed here. Everything is blooming, the grass is turning green, and birds are singing all day long! If it's not Spring in your area yet, make it seem like it is by making a card for the challenge!

Here's one I did using the perfect Spring image from Rich Davis called Spring Row.

It's colored with Copic markers and I pierced the holes for the bee's trail. I used a new die from Marianne Designs and added a small pearl in each of the die's flowers.
I hope you will play along too! Have a great Monday, and thanks for looking!

I finished it!

This is my second post today. In the first post I showed you an image I had colored, but hadn't yet made into a card because I was not liking any layouts I came up with. Well, while my husband was catching up on his beauty sleep before we leave on our weekend trip I finished the card!

You can see I completely changed the color of the mat around the image and I added another designer paper to the mix. I'm finally happy with it! Lynne told me this morning that she meant for the ground in the foreground to be dirt, and truthfully I knew that before I colored it - but once I started coloring I decided to keep it green like all this gardening stuff was laying in front of her garden bed. Call it artistic license! LOL!

I know that the new images haven't been released yet in Squigglefly's store, but check back later because they will be up sometime today! I suppose Ashley is like her daddy and catching up on her beauty sleep too!

So, Brock is now up and we have loaded up the truck for the trip so we are off! Enjoy your weekend, and I'll see you Monday!

Spring Isn't finished

Well, I really wanted to finish this card I made with the
new Here's How Your Garden Grows image by Lynne Stansbery but I got hung up on the card design. I loved coloring this! I used copic markers and then stamped a little on the grass with one of the stamps from Stampin' Up's water color minis set.

Isn't the image beautiful? Almost makes me want to go dig in my garden - almost! LOL! Anyway, I got the image colored, printed the sentiment and picked out at least one designer paper to go with it. I chose a card base and some possible ribbon but just could not come up with a design I liked. I finally decided to walk away and come back later to see what comes to me.

I thought I'd go ahead and show you what I've come up for now though so you could see this wonderful image in color. there are a lot of great new images in the store today, so run over to Squigglefly and take a look to see if anything strikes your fancy!

We are heading to Memphis today and I won't be back until Sunday evening, so I'll see you all on Monday morning just in time for a new challenge on the blog! Have a great weekend, and thanks for looking!

Wild Flowers

Hi everyone! Happy Friday! Tomorrow is Saturday, and you should know by now that that means there are new images being released at Squigglefly! My card today uses a sentiment that will be available in tomorrow's release.

The flower is called Wild Flower by Jane Beljo. It's not new, but the sentiment is! I think it's a sweet sentiment to send to someone for a "just because" card and it's also perfect for spring!

I colored this with colored pencils and then cut it out letting some of the image come out of the box. The edges of the sentiment and the card are sponged with real Red and Only Orange inks.

We are leaving for Memphis tomorrow to visit Ashley. It will be good to see her - it's been such a long time since we have! Anyway, I will have to get busy packing stuff this evening after work. I hope you have a fabulous Friday, and thanks for looking!

Grateful For Green

Good morning everyone! I told you I would finish up the card i was working on for this week's Squigglefly's challenge, and I did! I had fun making this.

I combined the lamp from Nina Brackett's Bright Life set along with the plain chair from her Comfy Chair set to make this charming little scene. The lamp is colored with Copic markers and I chalked some light shining down. The chairs were paper pieced and shaded a bit with some ink.

I printed out the sentiment and punched a little hole to tie some ribbon on. That printed designer paper was made by me! The font I used to print the sentiment had little dingbats for the capital letters and the coiled swirl was made by the capital Q! I just typed out rows of this and then printed it off to use as patterned paper. Fun, huh?

Brock and I went to pick up our tax return yesterday and discovered we don't owe as much as we thought we would. While we would prefer to owe even less (who wouldn't?), it was a nice surprise to find we didn't owe as much! We've decided to treat ourselves to a sweet treat to celebrate by going to a new yogurt place after dinner tonight! Yum!

I hope you have some sweet treats in store for you today too, and please try to play along in the Squigglefly challenge too. I'd love to see what you come up with! Thanks for looking!

Pink and Blue Birthdays

Happy hump day everyone! What a day and night full of rain we had yesterday! I loved it, but Riley was looking out the window with a look on her face that if she could talk she would have been singing "Rain Rain, Go Away!" Today is looking to be a dryer day though, so I'm sure she'll get lots of outdoor time to make up for it.

I am really low on my birthday card stash, so I whipped up two cards using the Roses image by Angie Davis. I used the same layout on both cards but just switched the colors and papers to get two very different cards.

The designer paper on both of them has been embossed with the textile embossing folder from Provo Craft. The roses were colored with Copic markers and I also used some chalk around the pink roses.

Don't forget to play along in Squigglefly's Grateful For Green challenge! I should have my card for that ready to share with you tomorrow! Have a wonderful day, and thanks for looking!

whopper of a birthday

Good morning! I hope you had a chance to see what the Squigglefly design team has done in this week's Grateful for Green challenge. They really made some amazing cards! I still haven't had a chance to make my card for that challenge, but my mind is working on one.

In the meantime, I do have another birthday card to share with you. This one would be perfect for the fisherman.

The image is called Another Fish Story and is drawn by Lynne Stansbery. I colored with Copic markers and used a little stickles on the fish. Here's the inside

The inside sentiment is computer generated and then I used a template to do the black circles underneath.

Have you notice the number of followers rising? Well, I have and I've been gathering things on my shopping trips for a blog candy to celebrate - so look for that soon! I hope you have a great day, and thanks for looking!

Judge's Orders

Good morning and happy Monday to you all! I hope you had a great weekend and got rested up for the week ahead. My weekend was a whirlwind - gone before I knew it, but we had fun. Yesterday I did get to spend some time in my craft room, so I will have cards to show you all week long!

Today is a brand new challenge on the Squigglefly blog! Vicki has challenged everyone to make a monochromatic card in greens. I will have to try to find time this week to play along in that!

My card today uses the funny Tell It To The Judge image by Lynne Stansbery.

Once I had started coloring the desk I thought everything looked too dark, but it was too late to change anything. I used Copic markers and chalk. The sentiment was computer generated.

For the inside I completed the sentiment and arranged it around the balloons that are in the Birthday Set by Michelle Bertuzzi.

I know so many of you are longing for Spring, so I took some photos of the Spring flowers and trees we have blooming here now. Here is a beautiful Tulip tree

and here's a gorgeous Bradford Pear Tree. There are a ton of these around town. They are pretty to look at, but they don't smell too nice!

and last but not least is a sunny Forsythia next to some daffodills

So, fear not - Spring is coming to you soon! Have a glorious day, and thanks for looking!

New Release and Lucky Update!

Hi everyone! Sorry I didn't get around to posting yesterday. It has been a really busy weekend since I got home from work on Friday afternoon, and I've had little time to craft!

I did get a card made with one of Squigglefly's newly released images to share with you though! Have you been by to see the new images? Some really great faces to use for a variety of cards, and there's a really cool Peacock Tile that Teresa Ward drew. I know the design team will be making some awesome things with that!

I chose to use the Mother In Law image.

She is colored with Copic markers and the background is chalked. I used a brand new die for framing the circle and sponged it with some Bliss Blue ink. The sentiment is computer generated and then cut out with a label die from Spellbinders. I then threaded a ribbon through it and around the designer paper to tie in a knotted bow in front. The inside says "Maybe they should live next door and just visit now and then." LOL!

Oh, and did you see that thanks to all of you who bought cat images in February, Squigglefly was able to contribute $150.00 toward Lucky's surgery fund? The vet taking care of Lucky has said that Lucky received her surgery, and he has even posted a little video of her that you can see HERE.

Enjoy your Sunday! thanks for looking!

Dream BIG

Hi everyone! Yay for Friday! I joined in a couple of challenges on Splitcoast Stampers yesterday and combined the sketch challenge with Mothermark's teaparty. The teaparty cards are going to a young man who was badly burned. He coaches kids in sports so our cards had to have a sport theme.

I really love the Big Dreamer image at Squigglefly, and I thought it was absolutely perfect for the challenge.

I colored with Copic markers and chalk and then stamped some grass sprigs outside the fence. The sentiment was computer generated, and I thought I'd share it with ya'll

Just click on the sentiment and then right click to save to your computer.

Tomorrow is another new release day at Squigglefly. I hope to have a card with one of the new images made by tomorrow to share with you! Have a great day, and thanks for looking!

Use those scraps!

Hi everyone! I'm short on time so I'm making this short and sweet for ya!

I finished my card for the Squigglefly Blog Challenge to use scraps when making your card. Here's mine!

First of all my image is May Daisy and she is colored with copic markers. I did chalk the sky, but you can't tell very well from the photo. I don't know what it is with my camera not picking up the chalk! I added a little glitter to the flowers.

All of the designer paper and the paper lace are scraps. I printed the sentiment on to the paper with my printer. Play along with me!

Have a great day, and thanks for looking!

Long On Love

Hi everyone! Remember I told you about the freebie sentiment made to go with the Doxie Diva image available in all the Squigglefly groups the other day? Well, I finally got around to making a card with it myself!

Copic markers were used to color the image and I sponged some Real Red ink on the edges of the image panel. I have had this heart shaped concho for some time now and thought it was the perfect embellishment for this. I threaded two strips of red gingham ribbon through it and then tied a bow to glue on top.

The sentiment was printed and then die cut with a Sizzix die and used on the inside of the card along with some of the checked paper.

I'll be sending this to my best friend who has a little weenie dog of her own, and I know she will love it. Did you know my very first dog was a dachshund? She was named Lady and I had her for fourteen years.

The Squigglefly challenge this week is a great one! Use scraps on your card! We've all got scraps so find a creative way to use them up! I am planning on working on my card for the challenge when I get home from work today. I really hope you'll play along as well.

Have a wonderful first day of March, and thanks for looking!
