Hi everyone! Wow, what a beautiful weekend we had here. the sun was shining, but there was a great breeze that kept things from getting too warm. Everything is budding here, and I mean everything! the pear trees are just beautiful now - like giant snowballs! I love the beauty, but I don't like what it does to my sinuses and I don't like that it just means hot summer time is coming, but I'm choosing to enjoy the now.
I snuck in a peek at Squigglefly's challenge for today and made a card for that using the Love Envelope Kitten by Louise Gardner. Louise is Squigglefly's newest artist, but she is quickly becoming a favorite with her cute images!
The challenge that Rhonda gave the Rascals is to make something wobble. She sent them all an action wobble to use, but I found a video that shows you how you can make your own if you don't happen to have any on hand. This video I followed was easy to follow and that's what I did for my card. One note - after playing with lots of different wires, the best gauge I found was 26. The little circle the cat is on wobbles. I'm sure using the action wobbles is much quicker and easier, but the home made ones work great for do-it-yourself!
My image was colored with copic markers and for some reason I always like to give my cats tiger stripes! I used a white gel pen to doodle around the edge of the card. When I folded my card stock, the card stock frayed at the fold so I opted to disguise it by distressing all of the edges with scissors. The sentiment is one from Stampin' Up!
I hope you'll take time to play along in the challenge - it's a fun one and it's good to learn a new thing like making your own wobbles!

Very cute. I like the way you have the sentiment below the present. This is colored so well with those stripes on that cute little kitty, and those papers are so pretty.
