All About The Boys at Paper Ala Mode

This week's Paper Ala Mode challenge is to make masculine cards.  We are being sponsored by Eureka Stamps and Crafts 4 Eternity.   Whenever I make masculine cards I always leave them un-embellished.  I don't know why, but I just don't think men (or boys) like that kind of thing.

My first card uses Roddy Robot from Crafts 4 Eternity.   I looked up the binary code for Happy Birthday and printed it in a repeat pattern for my background.  I wanted to add some googly eyes, but I couldn't find the right kind in my stash.  I know I have a whole bag of them here somewhere!

My next card uses Celebrating Dog from Eureka Stamps.   I have the dog on a wobble spring so he moves.  He just looked like he was dancing to me.

Come and play along with us!

We are shaking things up at Paper Ala Mode

This week's Paper Ala Mode challenge is to make a shaker card.  I love shaker cards.  They are not only fun to receive, but they are fun to make.  If you've never made one before, please come to join our challenge.  There are three different instructional videos to help you along.  Some of the design team members have never made one before and couldn't believe how easy they are!

We are sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps, and I chose to use their Birthday Bird 4.    I made two cards with the same image.  These are both birthday cards for my daughters and they loved them.  My oldest daughter said her son had fun shaking the card too!

I added crystal lacquer to the balloon for a little more shine.  I also want to add that I use foam core board to cut as a backing.  I like how it holds up a little more, especially if the card is being mailed.

I hope you will come play with us this week!

ATC's at Paper Ala Mode

Hi everyone!  This week's Paper Ala Mode challenge is ATCs.  ATC's are Artist Trading Cards.  They are little works of art and are 2.5 inches by 3.5 inches.  People make them and trade them with other artists.  A lot of people collect them like baseball cards.

The sponsor this week is Digi Stamp Boutique.  I used one of the three frogs and one of the sentiments in their Toadally In Love set to make my ATC.

I added a wobble spring to his head, and for even more fun I added some extra big googly eyes.

I hope to have some play time this weekend, but my weekend is already looking pretty busy so I may not be able to squeeze any crafting in.  I hope ya'll have a great one!
