Name that Letter

The Paper Ala Mode challenge is up and it's a fun challenge this week.  We are supposed to use something, or more than one thing that begins with the first letter of your name.

I used this Floral Heart from Sheepski Designs and made this card.  My "H" is the heart and the holes at the bottom in the border.  I also have the H in happy!

The I filled in for Debbie.  She chose Jo's Daffodils from Sheepski Designs.  Her "D" is the daffodils of course, but I added diamonds in the embossing and I used distress markers to color it with.

It's also fun to see if you can find how many things everyone used on their cards!  I hope you'll come play with us!

Sparkle and Shine

The Paper Ala Mode challenge is about sparkle and shine this week.  We are sponsored by Sasayaki Glitter Stamps and Nikki Burnette.  Here is my card using Lissa Fairy.  I used Wink of Stella on her wings, the butterfly, and on some of the flower petals that are on the flowers die on the edge.  I also added some silver foil to parts of her dress, and I used some little shiny flower shaped pearls to the center on the the flowers on the edge.

This is not for everyone

Hey everyone.  Let me just say that this post is not for everyone.  If poking fun at political things isn't your cup of tea then please forgive me and don't look any further.  I recently found a set of dies that I thought were really cool.  It is a set of Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton dies.  I don't think I've ever before seen dies of political figures.  Anyway, I had to snap them up!

I then made a series of birthday cards to send to my sister leading up to her birthday.  I timed it so she would receive a card a day in this order

Unfortunately, I don't think my sister saw the humor in my cards.  Oh well - maybe I'll send her a Mother's Day card that says "making your mother's day great again", and then a 4th of July card saying "making your 4th of July great again", and then a Halloween card saying "making your Halloween great again"... or maybe not.

simple birthday card

I recently got some Zig clean color markers and wanted to play with them.  I used them to color this simple image.  They will take some practice!  Happy Easter to you all!

Hi everyone - well since I was late with the last two Paper Ala Mode challenges I thought I'd make it up by being a little early for this week's challenge!  Our challenge this week is all about celebrations. Think of all the things we celebrate in life.  The birth of a new baby, the purchase of a new home, birthdays, anniversaries, graduations...they are all up for grabs in this challenge!

We are sponsored by Sami Stamps, and I do hope you will go visit their shop.  If you purchase, please let them know you did so after visiting us because this is the last time they are sponsoring challenges.

Of course, I made a birthday card.  I love birthdays and think every single one should be celebrated.  I used an image called Balloon Puppy and made this card

I used chalk for the sky and stamped a grass stamp at the bottom for the grass.  The silly sentiment was created on my computer.

Please come and play with us.  You have a great chance to win awesome prizes from our sponsors!

Here chick, chick, chick

Hi everyone.  The other day I saw a really cute card of a chick that I loved.  I knew there was no way I could cut the hair part of this, so I searched all over for a cut file for it - to no avail.  I decided to make my own with the Brother Scan n cut.  I merged two oval together and then I cut out a grass border to use for the hair.  It worked, but the border was a little funky for hair.

So I wrote Regina at The Cutting Cafe and told her that I really wanted a file to cut out this cute chick!  She obliged and made up the cutest chick file!  Isn't this just adorable?  You can find the file HERE.  I am having so much fun making up cards with this.

The I made them really small to attach as tags onto Easter baskets I'm making for my boss's kids, and I added some little feathers on top for extra hair.  Don't they just make your little heart melt?

Ice Cream and Turtles

I just realized today that I forgot to post my card for the Paper Ala Mode challenge for last week and this week!  Last week our challenge was Anything Goes and we were sponsored by Angie's Digital Stamps.    The image I used is called Daisy Mae With An Ice Cream Cone.  I found the perfect paper to go with this cute image and computer generated the sentiment.

This week our challenge is to make something with an animal on it.  We are sponsored by Sweet n' Sassy Stamps.  I used Tommy Turtle's Balloons

Easter Bunnies!

I saw cards like these on Pinterest and had to play.  They are so fun and easy to make.  I'm planning on making a lot more before Easter rolls around.
