A couple more folded books

I know that most of you come here for cards, and I hope you forgive and are perhaps even enjoying the folded books I've been sharing.  It's a new craft for me and I want to practice as much as I can. I will begin posting Christmas cards soon!

This week I tried my first shadow fold.  In a shadow fold, you only fold every other page.  I enjoyed making this one so much.  It was very quick to fold and such fun to see the pattern emerge.

Here is another book I made for the animal shelter's silent auction.  The pattern is a picture of the Friends Of Animals logo.

Family Tree and Veterinarian thank you folded books

I've made a couple more books and wanted to share them.  The first one I made for my daughter.  I love how this turned out.

The next book is one I made to thank our veterinarian who has taken such good care of our pets, but most especially lately Riley.  I was thrilled to find this veterinarian themed digital paper to cover the book in.  The pattern is a dogs paw with a heart in the center and circling it is a stethoscope.  She was thrilled when I gave it to her, and I was happy that she could tell it was a stethoscope!

Big Sunflower

I got a new die and had to try it out.  The background is distress inks.  I used copper embossing powder for the center of the flower and the sentiment.  The die really makes a quick and dramatic card.
